Some of the most spectacular coastal walking along the Mediterranean, authentic unspoilt fishing coves sitting beneath rocky cliffs covered in pine tree forests. Well-preserved medieval villages scattered among the thick beech tree forests of La Garrotxa national park with over 40 volcanic cones and a backdrop of the Catalan Pyrenees.

The Walks

The emphasis on this holiday is variety. Imagine a holiday with the best coastal walking along the prettiest stretches of the Costa Brava dipping in and out of colourful fishing coves flanked by marvellous cliffs topped by typical Mediterranean vegetation. Shady forest tracks wind their way through the route of the medieval villages with classic examples of early Romanesque monasteries and churches. Ending the week walking through some of the best examples of volcanic landscapes in the Iberian Peninsula including a river walk following the different lava flows dating back 650,000 years. Easy to moderate walking.

Where will you be staying?

Our base for the first 4 nights is the pretty village of Begur. Perched on a small hill overlooking the Mediterranean, the village is stooped with history as is evident from the striking silhouette of the medieval castle and maze of narrow streets.

Our base for the final 3 nights is Girona with one of the most evocative historical centres in Catalonia. More than a thousand years of history come together in old Girona, the perfect location to a wonderful holiday

		Your Accommodation
		Hotel Rosa is a family run hotel based in the old quarter of Begur. A comfortable hotel with an impeccable level of service. Breakfasts at the Hotel Rosa are a culinary experience. Narcis, the hotel owner and chef will ensure your stay will be enjoyable and memorable. Hotel Gran Ultonia is a newly renovated 4 star hotel close to the old quarter of Girona. Comfortable and modern the hotel Gran Ultonia has that extra bit of luxury to make your holiday special.

Travel Arrangements
We will personally collect you from Girona airport in our comfortable air-conditioned Mercedes minibus. Should you wish to extend your holiday by staying in Barcelona please discuss with us your travel intentions before making any final arrangements.
