The focus of today’s walk is the medieval villages of the Baix Emporda. Walking through vineyards, cork-oak woods and fields of sunflowers. A walk encompassing nature, history and cultural heritage combined with excellent cuisine from locally sourced fresh produce. Passing through the medieval villages of the region where the old world charm has been preserved intact.

Back along the coastal path, today’s walk will take us along one of the most emblematic places along the Costa Brava with wild panoramic views over the sea and calmer and magnificent vistas over Calella de Palafrugell and the San Sebastian lighthouse. A picnic lunch overlooking the enchanting Port Bo.

A short drive along the Baix Emporda takes us to Girona, your base for the next 3 nights. Stopping off for a refreshment along the way at one of the medieval villages, you will be given maps and suggested routes of what to see and visit in historic Girona. Staying in a top class hotel by the old quarter should make for 3 very pleasant nights..

A short drive takes us to La Garrotxa national park with over 40 volcanoes and numerous lava flows over a rolling landscape of holm oak and beech tree forests. A fascinating walk followed by an equally impressive lunch at one of the areas best restaurants.
