I can see the
sea
Start your holiday with a ridge walk across the extinct volcanic hills that separate the blue waters of the Mediterranean from the paddy fields and nearby mountains. Stop for lunch in a secluded golden sandy bay and enjoy a leisurely swim afterwards! |

A whitewashed Mediterranean village
Impressive canyons and the blue lagoon and thermal
waters of the River Turia surround the whitewashed
village of Chulilla and its imposing historic castle,
making for a magnificent day's walking. You can
extend your walk by climbing to the mirador or simply
relax in one of the squares for a pre-lunch drink
before enjoying a three-course lunch using the finest
local produce at one of the town's renowned restaurants. |
|
A drop of wine?
With its sharply vertical sides, the valley housing the Hoces de Cabriel Nature Reserve is truly breathtaking. A flat walk through the canyon highlights the impressive formations carved out by the river Cabriel. Lunch is in the historic wine-growing town of Requena. |

Dining with the Pope
Take in the thick pine tree forests, silver green olive trees, fragrant heather, herbs and shrubs and far reaching views across the overlapping mountain ranges of Alicante and the Enguerra valley. Then stop for a memorable lunch in the dining room of Jativa Castle - birthplace of two Popes from the Borja dynasty - overlooking the blue-domed churches and tiled rooftops of this historical town. |
|
Paradise, punting and paella
After a circular walk through the tranquil valley of La Murta taking in the remains of the 14th century monastery with its cave drawings and fish ponds, we follow the course of a fully functioning aquaduct, before taking you on a short boat ride across the calm waters of L'Albufera lake to the traditional fishing village of El Palmar. Here you can enjoy delicious Valencian paella for lunch in one of the region's most famous restaurants, rounding off a truly perfect day.
